Our attorneys and professional staff give of their time and resources through pro bono work, by serving on boards, making charitable contributions, attending and sponsoring charity events and by volunteering to help those in need. Together, we have fed the hungry, walked for hospice, run for diversity, and supported dozens of organizations.
We are proud recipients of the 2016 Giving Hope Award from the West Side Catholic Center for the firm's contributions over the past 15 years. We are also the proud recipient of the Volunteer Lawyers Program Recognition Award from The Legal Aid Society in appreciation for the pro bono hours the attorneys log while representing children in disability benefits cases and the 2017 Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service, which honors businesses of all types and sizes that make outstanding contributions to their community.
We were recently recognized in Smart Business' article, "Give back, gain a new perspective," which highlights the charity and volunteer work the firm participates in.
Below are some recent highlights:
Our firm is committed to providing time, talent and treasure to support The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. As a leading firm in social security and disability cases, our attorneys assist and represent low income clients by providing high quality legal services pro bono. Many of our attorneys dedicate a large amount of time to this organization including serving on the Board of Directors.
Frantz Ward is proud to support Saint Martin de Porres High School, a private school in Cleveland that provides students of limited economic means with a college preparatory education aimed at helping men and women develop the habits of mind and spirit that will enable them to be successful in college, in their careers, and in life. The firm has participated in the Corporate Work Study Program for the past decade, hosting two students each year to work in the firm while splitting their time between school and work.
For over 15 years, our firm has supported the West Side Catholic Center through donating money and clothes; volunteering our time one Saturday morning every month serving breakfast; as well as sharing our expertise by having several of our partners and associates serve on the Associate Board and the Board of Directors. The West Side Catholic Center’s mission is to assist all who come in need of food, clothing, shelter, advocacy, and a path to self-sufficiency through faith, hope, love, and respect. We are pleased to be able to help support The Center’s offerings of hot meals, hospitality, clothing and household goods, emergency services, advocacy, and a women and children’s shelter – which are all free of charge.
We are proud recipients of the 2017 Medical Mutual Pillar Award’s Award for efforts in community service. The SHARE Award is presented to one company annually that best exemplifies employee-driven community service, philanthropy, and volunteerism. Recipients are awarded to those that Serve, Help, Aid, Reach and Educate.
