Travis N. Teare has joined
PHriends, the Providence House Associate Board. Travis is actively involved on the board as a member of the Marketing Committee.
Providence House is Ohio’s first and one of the nation’s longest operating crisis nurseries. They offer free, voluntary (non-custodial) emergency shelter to children newborn through twelve years old, actively living in crisis situations which place them at risk of abuse or neglect. Providence House provides families a free, voluntary option to safely remove their children, newborn through twelve years old, from crisis. Their services include education, mentoring, case management and aftercare focused on family preservation. The primary goal of Providence House is to protect children from abuse and neglect, empower and strengthen fragile families and build safer communities for every child.
Travis focuses his practice on the representation of management in all aspects of labor and employment law. He has represented management in front of various state and federal administrative agencies, as well as state and federal court. Travis advises and counsels management on topics including leave management, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Travis further provides training to clients on a variety of issues including the interaction between the ADA and FMLA, sexual harassment, and workplace conduct. He has experience in litigation and public sector bargaining. He earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his B.A.,
cum laude, from Adrian College.
