Frantz Ward is pleased to announce the return of
Mia L. Garcia back to the firm as Of Counsel.
Mia advises clients on navigating the nuances of cannabis regulation, licensing, and operational issues. She represents operators in the medical and adult-use cannabis and hemp industries, supporting them in license acquisition, zoning and municipal law, regulatory dispute resolution, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mia started her legal career as a Summer Associate with Frantz Ward and worked across several practices in the Business/Corporate Group. She has extensive experience in contract management including negotiating complex agreements, identifying legal risks, and implementing compliance strategies.
Additionally, she is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® and provides counsel to nonprofit organizations, supporting their missions with comprehensive legal strategy.
Mia earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2017, where she graduated
cum laude. Mia received her B.A. from the University of California, Davis in 2012.
