Chris Koehler and Megan Bennett Discuss Considerations for Search Consultants at the NNSC Fall Meeting

On October 19, Frantz Ward attorneys Christopher C. Koehler and Megan E. Bennett detailed important considerations search consultants need to make at the Network of Nonprofit Search Consultants’ (NNSC) Fall Meeting.

In their presentation, “Legal and Practice Considerations for Search Consultants,” Chris and Megan discussed:
  • Advise on conducting an employee background investigation, including
    • Compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act
    • Considerations when reviewing a candidate’s social media
    • Contacting references
  • Compensation hot topics, such as
    • Pay transparency laws

He handles trial and litigation of business disputes of all types, including claims involving business torts, trade secrets, non-competition agreements, distribution agreements, and breach of contract and warranty claims.

Megan focuses her practice on the representation of management in all aspects of labor and employment law. She provides day-to-day counseling to employers by researching and recommending best practices for companies on human resources issues such as terminations, compliance with employment laws, workplace investigations and the preparation of policies and employment agreements.
