Overview

Karina’s practice focuses on tax and estate planning, with additional experience assisting in general business matters, including helping an Ohio brewery apply for liquor permits and assisting a business in trademarking its logo. She also assists in real estate professional liability representation and defense. 

As a summer associate at Frantz Ward, Karina provided litigation support in various matters, including product liability claims and employment matters. During law school, Karina served as a certified legal intern in the First Amendment Clinic and as a legal extern with the Office of the General Counsel at Case Western Reserve University. There, she advised the Office of Residential Life on safety policies and drafted commercial lease agreements, experiences that enriched her advocacy skills and deepened her understanding of litigation and transactions. 

Karina is a native Spanish speaker with experience using her language skills in business and nonprofit settings. She has translated legal documents, interpreted for Spanish-speaking clients, and presented on legal matters to Spanish-speaking audiences.

When Karina isn’t working, she enjoys reading and hiking at the Cleveland Metroparks.
